Jonathan Westcott is currently eleven
years old. He was born September 6th
1998 just before an historic storm hit
Syracuse New York. His parents are
Kevin and Michelle Westcott. Kevin has
been involved in racing his entire life
and is currently the Chaplain at Fulton
Speedway in Fulton NY and at Utica-
Rome Speedway in Vernon NY. Michelle
is a stay at home mom involved in
neighborhood ministry.
Jonathan began his educational carrier at four year old Pre-K at Abundant Life Academy located on the Campus of Abundant Life Institute in East Syracuse NY. He then attended Kindergarten through fourth grade at Burton Street Elementary School in Cazenovia NY. He is currently attending the eighth grade at Cazenovia High School in Cazenovia. He has worked hard at academia through out his young life and is now a carrying decent grades in his first year of High School. He and his family are members of Abundant Life Christian Center where his dad received his ministerial credentials.
Jonathan began his driving experience with a Power Wheels Silverado pick up truck on his fourth birth day. On a family vacation he drove Kiddie-Karts and lapped the field twice in eight laps. Dad thought he may have some skills at that time. When Jon
turned six he wanted to race Go-Karts but dad and mom had apprehensions. He decided over the winter that he may want a dirt bike instead. As his interest grew in racing by attending races with his dad he looked more toward race cars.
In April 2006 his dad and mom drove up to his grandma's house to pick him up after school with a used and some what rough looking 1992 FastTrack quarter midget racecar (with loads of spare parts and tires}. Jonathan's first reaction was " It looks kinda beat. Can we fix it up?" Dad reassured him it was doable and on June 2nd 2006 Jonathan drove in his first race.
Since his debut he has logged 7 feature wins and has proven that he has a "supernatural" ability to read and handle a race car. Driving a 2007 Talon chassis this year look for him to be a real force to be reckoned with .
